  • Biddulph Grange Garden – featuring a Chinese garden, Italian garden and Scottish Glen.  We’ve had lots of good reports about Biddulph Grange from guests. National Trust.
  • Chatsworth House Gardens – 105 acres of beautifully kept gardens, famous for its sculpture, maze, Cascades and Victorian rock garden.
  • The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton – 23 acres of beautiful Victorian landscaped gardens on the banks of the River Wye.
  • Thornbridge Hall Gardens – 100 acres of parkland and 12 acres of quintessentially English gardens, limited opening times so check!
  • Lea Rhododendron Garden – small but perfectly formed  Over 500 varieties of rhododendron.
  • Burrows Gardens, Brailsford – a short drive from the cottage, privately owned 5 acre garden; check opening times.
  • Renishaw Hall and Gardens – winner of the HHA/Christie’s Garden of the Year Award 2015.
  • Tatton Park – a bit further afield; 50 acre garden, traditional working farm, 1000 acre deer park, Tudor manor house and children’s adventure playground.
